After growing weary of the Tyrrell P34 six-wheeler, Jody Sheckter left the established Tyrrell team for the new Walter Wolf Racing single car team. Despite being an upstart, the team won three races, including it's first outing in Argentina, and finished second to Niki Lauda in the 1977 World Championship.
