only check Indycals

After retiring from driving Forumula One after the 1980 season, two-time world champion Emerson Fittipaldi decided to give Indycar racing a try in 1984. For his first try at the Indianapolis 500, he was saddled with a pink, lavender, and purple March 84C entered by W.I.T. Racing Promotions. He qualified a respectable 21st on the grid, but only managed 37 laps before mechanical issues relegated him to 32nd place. This was NOT Fittipaldi's first experience at Indy, however. Back in 1974 when he was winning the World Championship with Team McLaren, Emmo got to do some laps around the Brickyard in Johnny Rutherford's 1974 winning McLaren!
