The Spa 1000km Race has been run most years since 1953. Since 2011 it has been modified from a 1000km race (620 miles) to a 6 hour race, with typical race distances now over 700 miles. The Brun Racing team dealt with tragedy in the 1985 race as the car driven by Theirry Boutsen and Stefan Bellof was involved in a major accident that took the life of Bellof. The following year the Brun team took their sole victory in the race with Boutsen and Frank Jelinksi driving. Although Walter Brun's name appears on this car, he is credited with having co-driving the #19 entry during the race.

Note: this car had an additional front wing on the nose - markings are included and are depicted on the overhead view.
