Three time world champion Nelson Piquet came to Indianapolis in 1992 driving for John Menard and quickly was running competitive laps until a horrific crash nearly ended his career, heavily damagin his legs.
Determined to have the final say, Piquet came back the following year, again driving for Menard and successfully qualifying for the 1993 Indianapolis 500.
