Lindsey Hopkins fielded three cars for the 1971 Indianapolis 500: a year old Kuzma chassis for Roger McCluskey, and two new Kuzma chassis for Mel Kenyon and Wally Dallenbach. The cars were crew chiefed by Kenyon's brother Don Kenyon. Mel finsished 32nd, Dallenbach finished 24th and Roger McCluskey came home in 9th place.
