Freddie Agabashian raced eleven times at Indianapolis from 1947 through 1957. He started on the pole in 1952 driving a diesel powered car, but failed to lead any laps that year.
In 1957 Agabashian competed in his last Indianapolis 500 driving for the Bowes Seal Fast team in a Kurtis Kraft 500G.
Freddie moved from the cockpit to the radio booth working the Indianapolis 500 broadcast with Sid Collins for many years.
