For Helio Castroneves, 2009 started out with a great deal of uncertainty. He didn't know if he'd be in the Indy 500 or watching the race from a jail cell due to tax evasion charges filed against him by the US Government.
An aquittal on the first day of practice for the Long Beach Grand Prix gave Helio the green light to return to the cockpit and, that he did the very next day.
During qualifying for the 500 things got even better as Helio won the pole position, but it didn't end there. What started out as a nightmare year ended with a fairytale ending as Castroneves joined the elite group of three time Indy 500 winners!
