2008 was the year for unification of the CART based teams with the Indy Racing League. One driver who was left high-and-dry however, was Paul Tracy who's Forsythe team opted to close up shop rather than race in the Indycar series.

Vision Racing team owner Tony George offered Tracy a ride in the Rexall Edmonton Indy race and offered Subway the opportunity to put their name on the car in the hopes that Subway could be woo'd to become series sponsor.

Despite not having raced in the current Dallara, Tracy brought the car home in a solid fourth place finish.
