Defending Indianapolis 500 winner Kenny Bräck switched from the Indy Racing League to CART for the 2000 season. Driving for Team Rahal Letterman, Brack did not win any races but won the CART Rookie of the Year title. In 2001 Brack would finish second in the CART championship standings.
