Greg Ray raced to the pole position of the 2000 Indianapolis 500 in this car and went on to lead the first 27 laps of the race. However, his race would end against the wall on lap 66 - the first retirement of the race and the second furthest distance traveled for the last place finishing car in an Indianapolis 500.
