For 1980, the Ligier JS11 was updated with new bodywork and better ground effects and dubbed the JS11/15. The car manged two wins durig the season – Didier Pironi won in Zolder Belgium, while Jacques Laffite won at the Hockenheimring in Germany. In it’s new configuraton the car produced so much downforce that it put undue stress on suspension parts which caused failures that possibly cost the team more race wins. Ligier finished third in the constructors championship behind Williams and Brabham.

1980 Ligier JS 11/15

These replacement Decals for the Tamiya Ligier JS11 are a vast improvement over the translucent, yellowed kit decals - the white on this sheet is brighter and more opaque than Tamiya's original sheet. Use this sheet to convert the JS11 to the 1980 JS11/15 driven by Didier Pironi and Jacques Laffite. We now offer two options - one with all the white markings, and one with just red pinstripes for the nose, cowling and fuel tank for those who prefer to paint the white areas. Specify Pironi or Laffite when ordering.
