The BT46 Livery

During the first race of the 1978 season in South Africa, the Brabham Team sported a new white on red livery with blue Parmalat letters and numbers. After this race they switched to the more recognizable blue on red scheme. The red was dictated by engine supplier Alfa Romeo.

This car won the Italian Grand Prix in the hands of Lauda, and the "fan car" version won in Sweden, again with Lauda. In fact, in the races he finished, Lauda never finished worse than third in 1978. But nine DNF's relegated him to fourth in the championship.
