After using a Matra chasis in 1969 and a March in 1970, Ken Tyrrell decided to build his own cars for the 1971 Formula One season. Jackie Stewart debuted the Tyrrell 003 in Spain where he went on to win the race. Stewart would score three more wins in 1971 en route to his second world championship, while team mate François Cevert scored two wins in the Tyrrell 002. Stewart would win 4 more times in 1972 in the 003, making it the most successful Tyrrell car ever built and the individual chassis that has won more Grands Prix than any other car.
