Penske racing dominated the 1988 Indy 500 qualifying all three of his cars, driven by Rick Mears, Danny Sullivan and Al Unser Sr., on the front row of the race - the first and only time in history that three teammates occupied the front row. The team accounted for a total of 192 laps led out of 200.
