Parnelli Jones dominated the 1967 Indianapolis 500 driving this radically designed turbine powered car, entered by flamboyant car onwer Andy Granatelli. The turbine was cruising to an easy victory, when 4 laps from the finish a $6 part broke and the turbine coasted to a stop, handing victory to A.J. Foyt, who won the 500 for a third time.
