Like many cars in the 50’s and 60’s, the gold markings were translucent over brushed aluminum bodywork. This revealed the brush patterns on the aluminum underneath and resulted in a scalloped textured effect on the markings. Our decals recreate this scalloped effect as can be seen on the large “99” in the picture above.
